Hollow walked up to the door and stood, firmly, in his spot as he knocked on the door three times, then stepped back, waiting for the door to be answered. He rubbed the back of his neck gently, he had been tense about coming here, he wasn't frightened, but big buildings gave him the creeps, he always thought ghosts lived in them.

"Eh...?" An ominous, muffled crash was heard from behind the door. "Hold up a second, I'm coming..." The doorway opened and in it appeared Professor Matsu, in all his frazzled splendor. "Come for your first Pokemon, right?" He flashed kind smile before he cleared a makeshift pathway in between the clustered towers of paperwork. "Sorry for the clutter..."
This 'road' led to a pure stainless steel room... The walls were sheeted with only metal and the only furnish was a simple steel table that held 3 Pokeballs on the top. And it was quite small too-- Pretty much a thin silver cylinder that opened up into a gray skylight high above. A subtle smirk crossed the Professor's face. "I hope you're not claustraphobic..."

Hollow blinked at the mess, it reminded him of his father. He smirked as he followed the pathway that the professor had cleared and looked around the room, then at the pokeballs. "Hmm..." he said then answered the professor,"No sir. Not really. I'm kinda used to it actually." He grinned and looked at the pokeballs.

"Well, then, after you win a victory at the Elite Four Citadel, then you can come back here and help out. Not many assisstants can navigate through my office, and I recall we've lost two or three in here somewhere during the past year..." The Professor, after a rather awkward silence, laughed, but then suddenly became serious. He was... Like that.
"So..." He gestured to the Pokeballs dramaticly, "Who do you want as your next childhood best friend?"

Hollow grinned, which looked awkward, since he didn't often smile. "I'd like the Charmander. Er. Please," he said,"I've always like fire types." He looked at the professor for a moment, then feeling awkward looked around the mess.

"Fantastic choice!" Professor Matsu grinned picked up the Pokeball on the far right. He frowned, however, as he took it into his hands. "Oh, my... This one seems to have let itself out..." The Professor moved towards the door and called out, his voice echoing through the many corridors. "Kaen! Kaen, we need a Charmander for our starting trainer here~!" A few moments later, a Flareon, the Professor's Flareon, Kaen by name, brushed past Hollow's legs with a Premier ball in her mouth. After depositing its package, Kaen settled herself down beside Matsu and fixed the new trainer with a look that said, 'Yeah, good job. Fire types pwn your face off.' "Ah, thank you, Kaen." The Professor smiled and tipped the Pokeball into Hollow's waiting hands, as well as 5000p, 5 Potions, 5 Full Heals, and 5 Revives. Name: -Your Choice- Type: Fire Gender: Male Level: 5 Attacks: Scratch (2 Dmg), Growl, Tail Whip HP: 15 Item: Oran Berry Nature: Brave Status: Shiny

Hollow smiled and took the pokeball and items. "Thank you professor," he said, and grinned at the Flareon. He turned, heading back though the mess and making his way towards the front door, thinking of a name for his new Charmander.

The Professor nodded as he closed the door behind the trainer. There was a few more muffled shuffling sounds, but it was silent once again after a few moments. "Kaen, get me some coffee."
-- You may move on to Route 1. --
