The teenager groaned as he approached the lab, holding the tissue up to his face as he stopped, sneezing again. Jarl had always been around many plants and flowers, but something here... Something he had to be allergic to. And allergies were never a good thing. Walking to the door of the lab, Jarl stuffed the tissue into his pocket, sniffing as he rubbed his eyes to wipe away the tears that had formed from sneezing so much. Raising his hand, he knocked (ore like banged) on the door with his palm, hoping someone was in there so he could go inside and get away from these flowers.

"Yes, yes, I'm coming..." A muffled voice and a couple of rough shuffling sounds came from behind the steel door. The door swung open to reveal a slightly tired-looking male in his early 20s, wearing an unironed white lab coat. With two fingers, he pushed up his iron-rimmed glasses and sighed as if he was under some major stress. {{Which I am... XD }}
"Please come in..." The Professor gestured him inside, shoving aside a couple of paper-stack towers. "Pardon the mess..." He looked back at the trainer and smiled kindly. "Kaori has been known for its fragrant vegetation, but is no good news to those allergic to it..." Matsu continued through the rubble and into a back room with an identical steel door, which opened up to a plain, all-stainless steel, circular room with only a stainless steel table with three Pokeballs on the surface as a surface. "Now..." The Professor's face grew serious. "Do you know what Pokemon you'll be wanting?"

Jarl offered only a nod as a greeting, looking around the room as he followed after the Professor. He noticed the large stack of papers, and stifled a laugh of the thought of him sneezing and knocking one over, per usual in badly written comedies on T.V. Glancing up, the young trainer heard the professors question. Oh. Wait. Jarl realized he hadn't exactly thought about which pokemon to begin with- He had sort of just, well, come. Trying to remember the three pokemon the Professor may have here, the boy sheepishly rocked back and forth on his heels. "Uhm..." Jarl said after a moment, blinking. He then asked, "You have Chikorita, right?" Okay. Odd pokemon he wanted to start out with, what with being allergic to something, but that was okay.

"Why, yes. I do."
The Professor picked up the Pokeball in the direct center and held it up to the trainer, looking up at him from tired, but ever-friendly, eyes behind rectangular spectacles. He smiled warmly.
"Your journey companion awaits."
