(Well, actually, I think that it's a great way for people to keep from cheating and having perfect pokemon that never get defeated. It's just that Wilds should have less HP than human-trained pokemon. All of this accounts just for the HP. The HP is a good idea, but sometimes the same attack can do a little bit more or less damage than the last time it was used. I mean, sometimes Pokemon should put a little more effort into some attacks than others. This puts a little spin on things and makes the battles a little more unpredictable. In other words, I don't think the damage counter is the best idea.)

{{ Excellent, excellent! Thanks a bunch for your opinion! I'll put this into my furthest consideration, but I still want the opinions of the other people. It will be decided the day before the Grand Opening. Thanks again! But for now, the HP and Dmg Points will stay... I might have something in store for you later on... }}
The Poochyena was hit by the Scratch, but it regained itself and used a Tackle. (2 Dmg.)

Charmander was hit and he stumbled back a few steps, but snapped back to his senses just in time for Flynn to shout, "Use Growl again, and follow it up with Scratch!" Charmander did the same as he had the last time.

(Yeah, and another reason to take damage off is because attacks like Growl or Howl will make attacks weaker or stronger, or abilities like Intimidate or Guts will do the same.)

The Poochyena cried out as it was hit. The Pokemon stumbled forward, attempting one last attempt at a feeble Tackle but failed. Collasping, it fainted.
Congratz! Your Pokemon has gained 1 Level and 2 HP Points!
You may now catch the Poochyena...
